This chock is based on a pressure-treated 4x4 post, cut on the diagonal. It measures 10" wide, sufficient for most all GA aircraft. The face of this chock is 3.75" x 10". The area available for artwork is 1/2" smaller all around, or 2.75" x 9".

The standard font for these is called Impact. The cutter used is a 90° bit, so that the sides of the letter slope at 45° inward, then to a flat spot at .125" deep. This makes a nice letter, and the corners are very sharp and square. One face of each chock is cut with lettering, since there is one face touching the tire that need not be lettered.

Custom artwork can be included for an additional price. The cost is a $25 setup and $10/per pair for the cuts. Minimum line width recommended in 1/8". Different cutters are also available, including 20°, 45° or 60°. Ballend cutters having 1/8", 3/16" and 1/4" radius are also available. Each different cutter requires an additional $5 per cutter per pair of chocks.

Painting - The chocks come unpainted, or painted with a yellow oil-based traffic paint. The incised lettering is unpainted. If you desire, the chock can be masked off with a tape before cutting so that you can have it mostly pre-masked before you get it, so that painting the lettering is more easy. Painting the lettering is available at an option of $25 per pair, or $30 per pair if reflective beads are added to the final coat.

The chocks come in pairs. Each painted pair costs $60. So get your airplane stylefully-chocked for $120 plus shipping (estimated at $15).  They are roped together with a yellow polyethylene rope about 20" in length, that is 1/4" diameter and will last years in normal use.

This is my 'rock star' chock. Thi lettering has glitter added to it after it is painted with clear polyester resin.

These are sold in single units, and intended to be ornamental, though they do have the very useful function of showing off your N number and holding your business cards. They are also really great for displaying the company logo! Most of the yellow area is available for text, with cards sitting in a recess 3.5" wide and 1" deep, sloped back to present the cards nicely. It can hold about 50 cards in the slot.Price is $25 each, with an additional $25 for custom artwork, per above.
