Create your own sacred space with a labyrinth modeled after the 13th century design in the Chartres Cathedral. Cut into beautifully finished Cherry hardwood, this labyrinth comes with a stylus and is ready for facilitating your reflective meditation. For those without experience in using labyrinths, these are not mazes that require puzzling to find the correct path to the center, but instead simply follow the twisting path to reach the goal, all the time relaxing to contemplate and release (for a while) the distractions tied into our waking lives.
Dimensions - 6 x 6 inches, ¾ inch thick. A wooden stylus is included.
Price - $40 + shipping
Here are some labyrinths I have already made.
This labyrinth has text in the lower right corner, saying "Go Slow, Be Fine". >> You can get custom cut text on yours for a reasonable fee. >> This labyrinth is cut in cherry wood.
This labyrinth is made from rosewood. I got lots of little blisters between my fingers (on the sides) from the wood dust in making this one, but it won't cause blisters while using it (I think).
The round ball shown in all these labyrinth photos are the top end of the stylus that is used to trace the labyrinth path. The path is only about 1/8" wide, so it needs a pointy thing to follow it. I made the stylus from a dowel, and secured a ball to the top with a decorative pin, in brass or copper.
Big chunky labyrinth, 8" round. Cut into Azek, 1.5" thick. Medieval design. Stylus inserted into the top (side). A little circular blemish on this one at 4 o'clock, isn't on the latest ones. Though later ones have the crease making the circular nubs going all the way around. Current favorite color is gold, but other choices are available.
